Teaching Artisans
Students at our center are offered the opportunity to tutor Oaxacan artisans interested in learning English.
Learning English offers these men and women the opportunity to enhance their communication skills in order to sell
their products directly to international visitors.

Teaching Kids
International students can also volunteer and interact with the children of different indigenous communities surrounding Oaxaca. In this program, the kids learn basic English through myriad projects, including painting, drawing, photography, games and story circles, among others.
The ultimate goal is not only to teach English, but also to act as the bridge between the two different cultures. Our dynamics emphasize the importance of reinforcing the children´s indigenous languages, community traditions and stories

Oral Tradition Project
Ollin Tlahtoalli leads a program aimed at preserving oral history within the communities.
We create videos which are then presented in the communities in an effort to provide
opportunities for these stories to be listened to. As a result, members of the communities, in particular the younger generation, are more likely to retain a vital part of their heritage.
